Freelance Writing Earnings
This is one topic with a lot of answers but no definite one. No freelance writer can quote an exact figure as to how much they earn in this profession.
Freelancing offers complete freedom and is therefore not limited to anything and as such, one can take as many jobs as you want and that is why your freelance writing salary is also variable.
Then you have to consider the number of writers you have working for you which multiplies that income further. Yes, there are many factors that contribute to what earns you money in freelance writing.
But one thing is certain and that is you’ll never be disappointed. With a decade of expertise in the online freelance writing market, we are in a position to quote ballpark figures of money you can earn in this field.
The truth is, you can charge freelance writing fees anywhere from $100-$1000 a day and even more depending on how much time you devote to the whole thing and your expertise.
For those who consider freelance writing a hobby (spending only about 2-4 hours a day on it) with an experience level of at least a month…we will call them hobby freelance writers. They are writers who treat writing as a mere diversion and will still hold on to their day jobs with no plans of venturing into freelance writing full time.
The best pay rates that they can earn is probably between $25-$50 a day with the possibility of not being able to write more than 2 articles, so you can safely say these people are never going to go over the four-figure mark.
And then there are beginners in freelance writing with an experience level that can be described as satisfactory, clueless about online strategies except SEO writing and has been writing between one to six months at an average of 4-6 hours a day.
They work alone, doing everything from bidding to uploading and submitting the articles to article directories themselves. It’s a lot of work for a novice but if they are able to write 2-6 articles a day, the beginning freelance writer can charge somewhere between $25-$75 a day at the most.
While it’s just a starting phase, they often move on to bigger and better prospects and the transition is so seamless that the writers themselves don’t notice the changes.
For the mid-level freelance writer who spends 6-10 hours a day at work with an experience level of six months akin to that of an editor, well-versed in SEO writing and internet-savvy…more than familiar with the trade, this writer handles a team of writers while also doing some writing themselves.
They bid and get jobs then delegate the actual writing to their team and edit the articles once they’re done. They can write as many as 4-8 articles a day and can earn anywhere between $75 to $500 a day. Because of their familiarity and dedication, they can end up making the most especially if they run their own websites or forums.
And last but not the least, the experts. These writers spend as much as 10+ hours a day writing with an experience level of three years at least, editing, writing, with great marketing skills and are internet-savvy.
So into freelance writing that they don’t consider anything else as viable sources of income. They most probably run their own websites or forums with writers from all over the world as members. Having PPC ads coming out of their ears, the expert freelance writer can earn anywhere between $500 and beyond in a day.
The expert freelance writer knows every trick in the book, so they can just sit back and enjoy the rewards. Why, they can even not do any writing and still earn something.
So can you see where you fit in with any of these types? Can you see this easily happening within a year or two, with your freelance writing income going through the roof? Or really sky high?
Believe us, it’s POSSIBLE.
